Clinical Lab Tests & Diagnostics Performed at UHealth Jackson Urgent Care – Cutler Bay

Clinical lab tests help physicians confirm medical diagnoses, monitor key aspects of health, and ensure that their patients are healthy and thriving. Unfortunately, many people who seek treatment at ill-equipped “doc-in-a-box” clinics are forced to make extra trips to diagnostic centers to undergo lab tests. That’s not the case for patients at UHealth Jackson Urgent Care – Cutler Bay, however. Backed by the extensive resources and expertise of the Jackson Health System, our state-of-the-art urgent care center offers illness and injury treatment, lab testing, and digital X-ray imaging in a single location to streamline the care process for our patients.

Our comprehensive diagnostic services include the following lab tests, which are performed and promptly evaluated onsite:

  • Blood glucose
  • Chlamydia
  • Comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP)
  • Gonorrhea
  • Hemoglobin
  • Influenza A and B
  • Pregnancy (urine)
  • Prothrombin time (PT/INR)
  • Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)
  • Strep A throat culture
  • Trichomonas
  • Urinalysis (UA)
  • Urine culture (urine C&S)

Patients at UHealth Jackson Urgent Care – Cutler Bay are seen by board-certified, UHealth – the University of Miami Health System physicians, not mid-level providers that are often on staff at other walk-in centers. Additionally, in the event that lab tests and/or digital X-ray imaging are necessary for our patients, all results are analyzed by an onsite physician as well as a UHealth pathologist or radiologist. This expert second opinion helps ensure each patient receives an accurate diagnosis and is provided with an effective form of treatment.

UHealth Jackson Urgent Care – Cutler Bay is proud to offer lab tests, digital X-rays, physicals, immunizations, and other routine healthcare services to children and adults with non-life-threatening conditions. No appointments are necessary to visit our urgent care center, which features extended hours seven days a week to make diagnostic and treatment services more accessible to our community.
