Wound Care from Board-Certified Physicians at UHealth Jackson Urgent Care – Cutler Bay

At UHealth Jackson Urgent Care – Cutler Bay, wound care is provided by board-certified, UHealth – the University of Miami Health System physicians. In partnership with the Jackson Health System, our fully equipped urgent care center offers immediate wound treatment to children and adults who have injuries with controlled bleeding.

Life is full of surprises. If a casual game of softball, jog on the sidewalk, or neighborhood bike ride leads to an injury, consider visiting UHealth Jackson Urgent Care – Cutler Bay for prompt wound care without an appointment. Our state-of-the-art center features a clinical lab and digital X-ray machine for convenient onsite diagnostics, and all lab results and images are interpreted by a UHealth pathologist or radiologist to ensure that the highest standards of care are upheld.

Of course, it is important to note that individuals with life-threatening wounds from a car accident, gunshot, or other type of trauma should be treated in an emergency room. In less serious cases where the bleeding is controlled, however, UHealth Jackson Urgent Care – Cutler Bay offers several advantages over a bustling hospital ER:

  • Our center is located in an easily accessible area with plenty of parking, and most patients are in, out, and on the road to recovery within 90 minutes.
  • Our rates are more affordable than those of hospital emergency rooms, and we include the fees for all of our services (i.e., X-rays, examinations, stitches) on a single, easy-to-manage bill.
  • We provide a full spectrum of wound care under one roof. Whether a patient needs a tetanus shot, sutures, or casting, we can quickly provide the services he or she requires.

If our physicians determine that a patient’s wound necessitates emergency care from a specialist, we will arrange ambulance transport to a nearby Jackson Health System hospital.
