Treatment for Insect and Animal Bites in Miami-Dade
If you or a loved one has an insect or animal bite that is causing concern, it’s best to have it looked at by a doctor. You can walk in to your nearby UHealth Jackson Urgent Care center without an appointment.
Sometimes, bites can turn yellow or purple, be tender to the touch, and lead to bruising and swelling. We have doctors and providers standing by who can see you quickly, with a much shorter wait than your local emergency room.
How Our Urgent Care Can Help
Our doctors and experienced providers will first assess the bite and ask how it happened. Depending on the bite, we’ll advise you of the best course of treatment and find ways to provide quick relief for your symptoms,
If any tests or X-rays are needed, they can be done in our office and we’ll provide results during your visit.
Be sure to seek immediate care if the bite was caused by a wild animal, the wound is deep and/or bleeding excessively, or if it appears to be getting larger or worse.
