Treatment for Minor Cuts & Wounds in Miami-Dade
Sometimes an injury leads to a break in the skin, flesh tear, open gash, or deep cut, and it can be hard to tell when and where to seek medical care. You can stop in to a nearby UHealth Jackson Urgent Care center for professional wound care for minor cuts and wounds.
Our urgent care centers are staffed with doctors and providers who can see you quickly without an appointment.
How Our Urgent Care Can Help
First, we’ll assess your wound and check to see if there is damage to deeper tissues, such as tendons, muscles, blood vessels, joints, and nerves. We’ll also help control bleeding and try to prevent infection.
We can close the laceration with sutures and stitches, if necessary. Before you leave, we’ll teach you how to care for your wound while it heals.
If your cut or wound is causing uncontrolled bleeding or if there is obvious bone and joint involvement, call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room.
