Blood Glucose Tests at Miami-Dade Walk-in Centers
Blood glucose tests are available at all of our UHealth Jackson Urgent Care centers in Miami. These tests can provide helpful information about the amount of glucose (a type of sugar) in your bloodstream, especially for people who are pregnant or have diabetes.
High blood sugar (hyperglycemia) is a concern because, if left untreated, it can cause a number of health problems, including extreme thirst, frequent urination, and fatigue. Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) can also cause symptoms, such as trembling, sweating, and lightheadedness.
How Our Urgent Care Can Help
You can walk in to your nearby UHealth Jackson Urgent Care center and be seen by a doctor or experienced provider quickly. We’ll examine you, discuss your symptoms, and perform the blood glucose test.
We have on-site labs at each of our urgent care centers, so the test will be processed quickly. The doctor will discuss your results during your visit and advise of any treatment or follow-up care, if needed.
